History
High performance centers are popular in sports all over the world and has become a permanent staple in cricket over the years having been established in all major cricketing nations including New Zealand, Australia, India and England. In the West Indies, the Sagicor UWI WICB high performance center was established in 2010 and the immediate rewards were seen. Current players such as Shannon Gabriel, Kraigg Braithwaite and Jason Holder were all students of the HPC. From the HPC came the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) which participated in and reached regional finals on three occasions.

This facility will be a specialized one that not only seeks to develop players to compete and excel at the regional and international level, but also to enhance the St. Lucian sporting excellence amongst its stakeholders, cricketers and administrators.
